preliminary arboricultural assessments

preliminary arboricultural assessments prepared by experienced AQF Level 5 arborists.

Preliminary Arboricultural Assessments (also known as 'preliminary arboricultural report’ or 'PAR’) can be used to ascertain data so that an owner/developer can make informed decisions in relation to the trees on the development site.

Tree Report use the latest in GIS technology to collect tree locations and relevant information, resulting in detailed preliminary tree assessments containing accurate and reliable data.

The PAR is intended to be used by planners, architects and designers, in conjunction with any planning controls and other legislation, to develop the design layout so that trees that are to be retained are provided with enough space.

The report shall be prepared by the project arborist. The report should include the findings of the preliminary tree assessment. Trees (or groups of trees) should be placed into categories based on their suitability for retention.

Our PAR’s are prepared in accordance with Australian Standard AS4970-2020 Protection of Trees on Development Sites and show all trees and their NRZs, as well as any trees suitable for transplanting and trees recommended for removal irrespective of development. The method used to determine the retention value of all the trees should be documented in the PAR. The NRZs of all trees shall be calculated according to the method shown in Section 3 of Australian Standard AS4970-2020 Protection of Trees on Development Sites.
